Youth Ministry

The goal of our youth ministry at Second Pres is to promote discipleship through worship, fellowship, service, study, and play. It is our intention that relationships with God in Christ and with each other will be built and strengthened. During these formative years, the youth of Second Pres (2PC) will be given opportunities to participate in worship, to develop leadership skills and to learn what it means to be part of a congregation.  Our hope is that they will be excited and prepared to serve within the church for a lifetime.

Youth Sunday School

Each Sunday morning  6th “ 12th graders gather together for a time of fellowship and study.

Youth Group

Youth in grades 6th “ 8th meet on Sunday nights from 5:30- 7pm for dinner and fellowship.  We do various activities including Bible studies, service projects, day trips and outings. Friends are always welcome to join us.  Our goal is to create a time and place where everyone feels that they are welcomed, loved, supported and encouraged.

Trips / Retreats / Mission

We offer a balance of fun, recreation, worship, service, and education awareness in our range of excursions throughout each year.  We attend Presbytery retreats and the Montreat Youth Conference each year.  Youth are quick to lend a "helping hand to the senior members of the congregation in various home projects.  In the past 6 years the youth have participated in mission trips to Jamaica, New Orleans, Cranks Creek, KY and the inner-city of Charlotte, NC.  Missions, both National and International have become as significant part of our youth ministry.
